Make it feel fair

Contribution planner

Try different ways to share costs and see how each option affects your individual budgets.

Household details

Use monthly take-home income for an apples-to-apples comparison.

Choose a split method

Compare before you agree.

This calculator is a conversation starter. It does not decide what is fair for your relationship—use the comparison to find a plan you both agree to.

Your suggested split

Based on each person's share of combined income.

Proportional

Money remaining after plans

Quick comparison

How much each person contributes with each method.

One shared list

Shared household budget

Add the expenses you both want to treat as shared. Changes update the contribution plan automatically.

Monthly shared expenses

Amounts are illustrative. Replace them with your own numbers.

$2,800 / month

Tip: agree on what counts as shared before deciding how to split it. Personal debts and discretionary spending can remain individual.

Personalize your plan

Use the names you want displayed throughout your local plan.

Product boundaries

Pairwell is a financial coordination concept, not a bank, tax adviser, or lawyer. A shared plan here is not a legally binding agreement and does not determine who legally owns any asset.

Build the shared workspace

Connect your financial lives—by choice.

Test partner invitations and information-sharing choices before we build real accounts.

Prototype flow

Partner invitation

Create a demo invite code to test the connection experience.

Not connected

This does not email anyone or create an account. It only simulates the flow in this browser. Real invitations require a backend and secure token handling.

Information-sharing preferences

Choose what belongs in the shared workspace.

Shared household incomeAllow income figures to inform the contribution calculation.
Personal obligations totalShare a monthly total, not itemized personal debts.
Individual savings goalsKeep personal goals private unless you choose to share them.
Personal transaction detailsUnavailable in this prototype; no bank connection exists.

These preferences are saved locally only; they do not secure information on a server.

How a real connection should work

Proposed behavior for the production app.

01 · INVITE
One partner sends an invitationThe recipient gets a time-limited link and chooses whether to join.
02 · CONSENT
Each partner chooses what to sharePrivate finances stay private unless the owner explicitly shares a detail.
03 · AGREE
Both review the shared planChanges should be logged and access should be revocable.
Security principle: an invite is not consent to reveal all financial information.

Prototype status

No real accounts, emails, authentication, cloud storage, or cross-device sync yet. We must implement secure access controls before using real financial data.

How to interpret a scenario

Remaining money is calculated after shared contributions, each person's entered personal obligations, and planned savings. It is a planning estimate, not a forecast of future earnings.
